Artisanal eastern baked cake with chocolate drops covered with icing, handmade wrapping. Ingredients selected and selected exclusively from the island production such as sugar, vanilla, citrus honey, hazelnuts, stimulate the palate with unexpected combinations of flavors and aromas.
A slow and gradual leavening, which naturally comes to fruition within thirty-six hours, guarantees quality and fragrance to baked goods, in full respect of Madonite confectionery traditions.
Origin: Castelbuono (Sicily)
Ingredients: Soft wheat flour, butter, sugar, fresh eggs, chocolate drops 10%, fresh egg yolk, natural yeast, hazelnut paste 2%, sicilian honey, inverted sugar, orange purée (ground orange peel, sugar, lemon juice concentrate), emulsifier: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, cocoa butter, powdered skimmed milk, salt, natural flavourings, vanilla berries. Glaze 11% (fresh egg white, sugar, rice flour, flour peach or apricot seeds, starch modified, flavourings, bitter cocoa), granulated sugar. May contain traces of other nuts. Does not contain genetically modified ingredients.

Tasting tips: Place the colomba cake near a heat source the time a few minutes then eat it plain, and accompany it with a sparkling wine or Passito di Pantelleria.
